Early Start Program (ESP) Compass Track

Program Description

Colorado Mesa University offers first-year Compass freshmen an opportunity to participate in a program designed specifically to assist students in making a successful transition to college by learning strategies and skills they will need to successfully navigate their first year and beyond. This program, the Early Start Program (ESP) Compass track is offered to new Compass freshmen prior to the start of each fall semester. For more information, visit the Early Start Programs website.

The Early Start Program Compass track includes completion of the UNIV 100 course. This is a one-credit course designed to help Compass students successfully transition to college life by introducing them to campus resources and teaching them study skills that will aid them in their transition. UNIV 100 is also offered during the fall and spring semesters.
